MainBeam Home Privacy Policy
MainBeam Home is operated by Nemky Holdings LLC. This notice explains the current home-record service, including preserved private Test House features. Contact support@mainbeamhome.com with privacy questions or requests.
Your account and household
Clerk provides sign-in and session identity. MainBeam stores household membership and access roles separately; signing in alone does not grant access to a household. The beta starts with one Owner per household. Access changes and recovery are operator-assisted, not a self-service ownership-transfer feature.
Information we handle and why
We handle the home details, addresses, asset records, photos, documents, service and maintenance history, projects, questions and saved AI results you provide. Original files may contain personal information and embedded metadata. We also handle account identifiers, access/audit records, technical logs and AI usage information to operate the service, synchronize records, limit misuse and troubleshoot problems. Avoid passwords, alarm codes, financial credentials, Social Security numbers and other secrets in records or uploads.
AI and web research — including before Save
OpenAI processes information used for extraction, research, troubleshooting and project assistance. Depending on the feature, this can include selected files, asset or project details, serial numbers, notes, service history, source links and your question. Some features use web search. We do not guarantee that every request or search query is free of personal information.
- Entering a complete home address can automatically start a public-property lookup through OpenAI and web search before you press Save.
- Selecting photos or documents can start AI extraction before saving. Saving an asset can automatically start Research, including assessment of attached photos.
- A cancelled action or failed save may already have sent information to a provider. Original files can upload before the final record save succeeds.
Review files and text before supplying them. You can leave the home address blank and keep manually entered records, but this is not a global AI opt-out control. AI results can be wrong; review them before relying on them. Provider processing and retention follow the applicable provider arrangements; this notice does not promise zero retention or a particular provider training setting.
Storage, providers and access
Render hosts MainBeam and its PostgreSQL record/original-file storage. Clerk handles authentication, OpenAI handles AI tasks, and Fastmail handles email sent to MainBeam Support. These providers process data needed for their services under their applicable practices. Authorized operators may access information when necessary for support, security, recovery or legal obligations; household data is not end-to-end encrypted against the service operator.
The signed-in beta keeps its app-owned working household cache in page memory. Clerk may use cookies or browser storage for sign-in. The separate legacy Test House can retain records, originals and private-access information in browser storage. Downloads, screenshots and copies you keep on your own device remain outside MainBeam's server controls.
Images and external websites
If Google Street View is enabled, the browser can send a home address to Google Maps Platform for an image, including during an address preview before Save. An uploaded home photo takes priority. MainBeam does not store Street View image bytes as household evidence or include them in backups. Product thumbnails may load directly from manufacturer or image-hosting sites. Those image hosts receive ordinary browser connection information; opening external links also contacts their operators.
Preserved Bills and mailbox features
Bills and mailbox automation are not offered in the external V1 interface. Preserved private Test House flows can use read-only Gmail or Outlook access and Resend inbound email. Supported attachments, or sanitized and minimized likely-bill message text when no supported attachment exists, may be sent for AI extraction. Raw mailbox body/HTML is not saved in the bill review record, but provenance, proposals and supported originals may be retained. Mailbox OAuth onboarding and inbound email routing are legacy-household-bound; this is not a claim that every preserved Bills API is disabled.
Legacy connector refresh tokens are stored separately as encrypted server-side secrets and excluded from household archives. Disconnect removes the locally stored connector secret, not previously imported records or necessarily the provider's permission grant. Revoke that grant with your email provider when needed. MainBeam does not initiate household payments.
Export, retention and deletion requests
Owners can export records or a full household recovery file. The full file includes stored originals, IDs, metadata and checksums, but excludes account/membership authority and connector secrets. Current v2 limits include 1 GiB of original files, 4 MiB of record/file metadata, 5,000 records and 1,000 originals. Missing referenced originals are reported, not recreated. Restore is limited to the authorized household and rejects conflicting existing content. Export/restore uses temporary server staging; normal completion/failure cleans it up, while abrupt termination can leave it until later cleanup or instance replacement.
Household records do not expire automatically. Archiving retains information. Permanent household/account deletion is not self-service. Email support to request access, correction, export or deletion; we verify identity and any authority needed for the request, review the scope and explain the outcome or applicable limits. You may request review of a denied request by replying with “Privacy appeal.” We do not promise immediate erasure from provider backups, security/audit records or copies you downloaded. Support correspondence and necessary operational records may be retained for support, security, dispute resolution or legal obligations. A backup file does not grant account access, and recovery is not guaranteed in every incident.
Our beta privacy rules
We do not sell household personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We do not add advertising pixels or session-replay tracking to the beta. These rules do not eliminate the provider processing described above. The beta is intended for adults, not children. Please tell us if a child has supplied personal information so we can assess and address it.
Support, security and changes
Support email includes the sender information, message and attachments you choose to send, and is processed by your mail provider and Fastmail. MainBeam's support link opens your mail application; it does not automatically attach household records or diagnostics or prove delivery. Do not email passwords, verification/recovery codes or full household backups. Support is handled as available during beta, not as emergency assistance or a guaranteed response time.
